Stronger Together: The Connected Classroom August 5-7, 2026 at DeSmet School, Missoula, MT Join us in-person or virtually on August 5&6th. August 7th is virtual only. The 28th Annual August Institute will be held on August 5-7, 2026 virtually and in-person at DeSmet School--located at 6355 Padre Lane. Missoula, MT. We will also offer a remote attendance option. August 7th will be virtual only. Join us for an August Institute built on one simple truth: AI and technology, place-based learning, core-content, STEAM, SEL, wellness and IEFA are not separate initiatives—they are connected elements of strong teaching. This institute will reinforce what works by weaving these strands into one integrated learning experience that supports real classrooms and real teachers. Explore practical, ready-to-use strategies, lessons, and tools that help you strengthen instruction, deepen student connection, and build sustainable routines—without adding more to your plate. Come curious, leave with resources you can use on day one and habits that support both you and your students throughout the year. The conference will focus on technology integration in core content areas with additional sessions such as mindfulness, mental health, SEL, IEFA, G&T, STEAM, the Arts, etc. We are striving to keep registration costs low as we return to charging a fee for attendance. Some full and partial scholarships for districts qualifying under various grants and donations are available. Visit our registration form to see if your school qualifies for a discounted ticket. All DeSmet School personnel will receive free registration as the host site. Blackfoot Communications is offering their member schools 33 free registrations on a first come, first serve basis. See if your school qualifies on the registration form. Credit Options: OPI renewal units (free) or 2 Semester Credits-at an additional charge of $175. This is a separate fee to the University of Montana to process your credits, and it is not included in a Blackfoot scholarship or other ticket type.
