Virtual: Evidence-Based Behavior Management Strategies for Today’s Classroom

This collaborative virtual series, hosted by MTPLC and Ashley Campbell, equips educators with evidence-based strategies to address student behavior while deepening their understanding of behavioral principles. Participants will learn how to identify behavior functions in the moment, implement proactive supports, teach functionally equivalent replacement behaviors, and respond consistently to promote positive change.
Workshop Objectives
Participants will:
✅ Deepen understanding of what behavior is and how the environment influences it.
✅ Describe four functions of behaviors and how to identify the function in-the-moment.
✅ Identify and describe function-based consequences and functionally equivalent replacement behaviors.
Who Should Attend
Intended Audience: Teachers (general and special education), pre-service teachers, education support staff, and educational leaders seeking to build behavior support capacity within their schools.

Free for MSSA districts, Reservation schools, and Class C districts (SSV grant-funded).

Facilitator
Ashley Campbell is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst based in Belgrade, Montana, with experience delivering evidence-based services across remote, in-home, school, and clinical settings in Montana and Colorado. She earned her undergraduate degree in Special Education and Psychology in 2021 and completed a graduate degree in Behavior Analysis Practice in 2024.
Ashley’s professional background is primarily in early intervention for children with developmental disabilities, where she has focused on establishing strong foundations in evidence-based practice, as well as implementing school- and caregiver-mediated interventions. She is particularly passionate about empowering teachers and caregivers with practical, behavior-analytic strategies that increase confidence in behavior support and promote meaningful outcomes.
Through her work with the Montana Professional Learning Collaborative (MTPLC) and the Montana Autism Education Project (MAEP), Ashley collaborates with Montana families and educational teams to implement effective interventions that foster consistency, independence, and long-term success for learners.
