Kelly Miller is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Autism Consultant. Her practical and hands-on experience spans two decades, including mental health and school settings. Kelly works to expand teacher’s instructional repertoires to encompass not only academic, but social, emotional, and behavioral systems of support. With a focus of maximizing positive behavior momentum in the classroom, educators will reclaim valuable learning time. Kelly coaches and provides live modeling and support within the classroom. Workshops are rooted in inclusive practices, enabling teachers to develop their own “take away toolkit” full of evidence-based strategies that can be immediately applied in their classroom. Join Kelly and her team for a transformative online workshop series designed to empower Montana’s educators. This dynamic series delivers clear, practical, and impactful tools to help address student behavior with confidence and skill. Ideal for any school employee who works with students—teachers, support staff, counselors, and administrators.

Each session includes individualized support opportunities, allowing participants to ask questions, share challenges, and receive tailored guidance that fits their unique classroom or role. In addition to the core workshops, participants will have access to dedicated office hours offering individualized support and guidance. These sessions provide a space to ask questions, address specific behavioral challenges, and receive tools tailored to your students’ unique needs.

Whether you're looking to tackle specific behavioral concerns or strengthen your overall approach, these workshops are designed to meet you where you are.
  1. Workshop 1:  October 15, 2025 (4-5:30 PM)  - Functions of Behavior
    Behavior is defined as any observable action, it is neither positive or negative, it is just what we do.  Understanding what happens after behavior gives us clues about what we should be doing. This is what we mean when we describe behavior as having a function. Come learn about functions of behavior and how to select the most effective intervention based on what you are observing. This session will be the foundation for the following  sessions. Practitioners that are newer to the science of behavior will get an orientation to functions of behavior. Experienced coaches and practitioners will learn new ways to teach colleagues about these concepts.                                                 
  2. Workshop 2: October 22, 2025 (4-5:30 PM)- Function Based Strategies
    Function based strategies are evidence based and are the most effective way to support classroom behavior. Function based strategies focus on identifying the function of the behavior and preventing the associated negative behavior with connection and supporting new ways to help students get their needs met without disrupting the learning environment. This session is filled with quick and easy attention hacks to bring to the classroom tomorrow .                                                                                        
  3. Workshop 3:  November 05, 2025 (4-5:30 PM) - Functional Behavior Assessments
    How and why do we evaluate the function of behavior?   This workshop will start with understanding the foundational components of an FBA, including how to collect and analyze data and how to understand what motivates and maintains behavior. You will learn the latest FBA practices in order to complete and inform an accurate hypothesis. Participants will learn techniques for increasing team collaboration in FBAs, receive typable data collection tools, and understand how to interpret findings. Participants will receive templates and exemplars as well as takeaway tools to create efficient and accurate FBAs.
  4. Workshop 4:  November 12, 2025  (4-5:30 PM)  Behavior Support Plans                                                Behavior support plans should be living and dynamic documents. Would you like to breathe new life into your plans? This course will include how to collect and interpret data, in order to write more efficient and DOABLE behavior intervention plans.  You will learn quick and easy behavioral strategies for implementation in both general and special education settings.   Participants will learn techniques for choosing function-based intervention strategies, and how to be more neuro-affirming and trauma informed in your delivery of behavior support. We will offer takeaway tools and strategies related to BSP implementation to increase staff buy-in.
