The Monitoring Assistance Institute is a targeted, capacity-building professional learning opportunity designed to help school districts prepare for OPI federal program monitoring. This offering is especially valuable for districts with limited compliance capacity, including rural districts without dedicated federal programs staff. The format mirrors the successful Title I Manual training model, combining group learning with individualized technical assistance.

Program Structure & Content Core Training (3 hours, in person)
- OPI monitoring process and expectations
- Common findings and how to prevent them
- Required documentation and evidence review
- Organizing monitoring materials (practical strategies)
- Lessons learned from prior monitoring cycles
Included Supports
- Monitoring preparation files, templates, and tools
- Four (4) hours of technical assistance per district
- Support grounded in direct OPI monitoring experience
- Follow-up available virtual, in-person, or hybrid (based on district needs/scheduling)
Participation Requirements
- Minimum 4–5 districts to run the institute
- Districts may send multiple participants (based on pricing option)
Cost Options
- District Rate: $1,200 per district (up to 5 participants) — Cap: 12 districts
- Individual Rate: $360 per person — Max $1,200 per district
