Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)
Fall 2026–2027 School Year
Presented in Partnership with Tamarack Grief Resource Center (TGRC)

Virtual (Zoom)

Session Dates
This training is offered twice. The same content will be presented at both sessions.
  • Tuesday, October 6, 2026 | 4:00–5:30 PM
  • Wednesday, November 11, 2026 | 4:00–5:30 PM

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)

In accordance with Montana's Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training Act (MCA 20-7-1310), Tamarack Grief Resource Center facilitators will provide training in Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)—three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Just as people trained in CPR help save lives every day, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and respond effectively using the steps of Question, Persuade, and Refer.

Participants will leave with practical strategies for communicating openly about suicide, increased confidence discussing mental health concerns, and knowledge of local and national support resources.

Tamarack Grief Resource Center strengthens and honors individuals, families, and communities throughout their journey with grief. With offices in Missoula, Kalispell, and Browning, TGRC helps individuals and communities navigate grief and loss through counseling, grief camps and retreats, school-based programs, support groups, community workshops, and professional education.
