The Advanced Placement Summer Institute sponsored by the College Board and Montana Professional Learning Collaborative is offered to new and experienced AP teachers. Participants will find that their Institute experience sets them up for success in teaching their AP classes with new ideas, resources, and a renewed enthusiastic vision for their classes. Participants will be learning through College Board approved consultants. Since we are online, it is your responsibility to print your own materials if you wish to have them as hard copies.
Instructors: Courses are led by experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated College Board-endorsed lead consultants who have a broad range of knowledge and proven ability presenting to their peers.
When: Each course meets Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Mountain time, except AP Calculus AB which will meet Tuesday-Friday.
Where: Online via Zoom.
Registration:
Registration for Week One Courses is open and closes June 14th at 5:00 p.m. for the June 17-20, 2024 online training. Note: AP Calculus AB **June 18-21**
Registration for Week Two Courses is open and closes June 21st at 5:00 p.m. for the June 24-28, 2024 online training.
Cancellation Deadline: May 18, 2024 for a partial refund.
Refund Policy
Cancellations must be provided in writing by sending an email to [email protected] Registrants who fail to show up for their session are not eligible for a refund.
Professional Development Credits:
GRADUATE CREDIT OR OPI RENEWAL UNITS AVAILABLE
2 graduate credits are available through University of Montana for $155. Or, you may receive up to 30 Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) renewal units for attending this online AP Summer Institute.
Acknowledgment of Enrollment:
Once you register for a course through our you will be enrolled in the course. An enrollment acknowledgment will immediately be sent to the email address on your account showing payment confirmation or including instructions for submitting payment via check. In some cases, a course may be full, and you will have the option of getting on a waiting list. A waiting list is automatically created for a course once it has filled to capacity. If a spot should become available in that filled course, and you are next on the waiting list, you will receive an email to the email address on file with instructions for completing registration for that specific course. Technology requirements:
Be sure to have a computer with a camera, microphone, sound and stable internet so that you can participate easily in your APSI course. Sign in to your Zoom session 10 min. or so early so that you have time to work out any kinks before class starts. Your instructor will generate the zoom links and document location and you will be provided this information prior to the start of the class.

College Board® scholarship recipients: If you are a College Board scholarship recipient, you will need to submit your registration form to our office. Our office will invoice the College Board for your Institute Fee.
How to register and pay:
The registration links are organized by session dates. By clicking on a session link, you will be directed to the registration portal on the College Board website. Participant registration is linked to the participant’s College Board account. If the participant does not have a College Board account, one will need to be created in order to continue registration for APSI.
MTPLC accepts payments of credit card, check, and Purchase Order. College Board scholarships are also accepted. You can email purchase orders to [email protected] or mail them to MTPLC, PO Box 1514, Lolo, MT 59847. Checks should be mailed to the same address.
Participant registration will remain in a pending status until payment has been received. Only after the payment has been received will the participant receive the certificate of completion.
Schools may substitute a paid participant with another teacher in the same course without penalty. All cancellations, modifications, and substitutions should be made online through the registration portal.
